As time passes you will most likely want to purchase further items to complete your outfitting. There is no set time required, nor any particular order in which to purchase the additional equipment. If you need advice about what to buy, then please ask. Many items can be brought second hand from other regimental members.

For both musketeers and pikemen, the following items supplement your basic equipment:

  • Buffcoat: Comprised largely of those from professional classes, the London Trained Bands were unique among Civil War regiments of foot in that many of them had the means to purchase protective buffcoats
  • Snapsack (Haversack): A type of rucksack used to carry additional accoutrements
  • Drinking Vessel: Leather or pewter tankards
  • Plate or Bowl: Wood, pewter, or slipware
  • Eating Utensils: Knife, fork, and spoon
  • Sword, Scabbard, and Baldric

Specifically, for pikemen:

  • Breast and Back Armour: With or without tassets to protect the thighs
